Cambridge Christian basketball hit the road for a Jan. 31 sweep over rival Rochester Area Home Schools. The Warrior girls began the night with a 51-42 win when Kellie Pedersen scored 13 points, Jerusalem Solomon had 12 points and 6 points each came from Kim Walburg, Emily Fridberg and Karly Wiek.
The CCS boys slipped past RAHS 55-52 in the nightcap, with top scoring coming from Jake Bergman (15), Alex Moses (12), Justin Roble (11) and Grant Taylor (10).
The Warrior teams host a rematch with RAHS Feb. 7 (boys at 5:30 p.m/girls at 7 p.m).
• The Warrior girls are now 4-0 in the Christian Athletic League and 15-4 overall when they finished a busy stretch with a 53-41 home win over Valley Christian Feb. 4. Kristin Bergman posted 22 points to lead, and Kellie Pedersen scored 15.
The squad also defeated Immanuel Lutheran 56-17 on Feb. 1 and Woodcrest 50-23 on Feb. 3. Against Woodcrest, Bergman closed with 21 points, and both Pedersen and Solomon hit for 10 points.
• The Warrior boys are 6-0 in the CAL and 15-4 overall when they added a 71-42 win over Immanuel Lutheran Feb. 1.
