We have made it through what has been a very interesting January filled with cold weather and snow that has kept our students at home for a few days. We would like to thank all the parents for their flexibility. As the cold weather continues we would like to remind parents to make sure their students are wearing appropriate clothing for the weather.

In January we completed a very successful first semester. Many of our students had excellent academic semesters and are now getting settled into their new semester classes. One new experience for our Technology students has been exploring our new 3D printer. It is an amazing tool that is very interesting to students and teachers. Our Athletic and Fine Arts students have been having a lot of success and we look forward to upcoming competitions and performances.

In February we will be celebrating “I Love to Read” month across all grade levels. In the high school, our Advisory classes will be focusing on activities centered on “I Love to Read” month, the value of Excellence as a part of our Bomber PRIDE program, and heart health. Snow Daze is another upcoming event that will be put on by the Student Council in February. Snow Week will be Feb. 24-28 and will include dress up days and a dance on Friday night.

It seems a little ways off right now, but state MCA testing is right around the corner. MCA tests begin in early April and include students in grades 3-11. The testing calendar can be found on our website. Thank you for supporting Braham Area Schools.
