A busy three-meet stretch for the Cambridge-Isanti boys swim & dive squad began with a 95-86 loss to Monticello Jan. 30 to wrap up the Mississippi 8 dual meet season.

Senior Parker Brown set a new six-dive team and M-8 Conference record when he totaled 276.3 points that night. Teammate Cody Hemmelgarn was 2nd off the board with a 219.6. Josh Minnihan was 1st in the 200 IM (2:16.3) and 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (1:00.9) against the tough Magic.

ā€¢ The following evening, the C-I boys defeated section-partner Coon Rapids 105-72, begun with a win in the 200 Medley by Thomas Cameron, Jared Zacharias, Minnihan and Hemmelgarn (1:56.9). Posting individual swim 1st places against the Cardinals were Minnihan in the 200 IM (2:16.9), George Grandgenett in the 100 Fly (1:10.3), and Alex Heinen in the 500 Free (5:40.3). Brown (259.7) and Hemmelgarn (202.3) went 1st-2nd in Diving.

Blaine, another Section 7AA foe, defeated C-I 97-84 Feb. 3. Divers Brown, Hemmelgarn and Tristan Zimprich (187.8) swept the top three spots against the Bengals. Minnihan won the 200 IM (2:14.2) and placed 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (1:00.5). Perra was 2nd in the 100 Backstroke (1:07.1).
