Family Pathways Mobile Food Shelf

First & Third Wednesdays: Family Pathways Mobile Food Shelf is at South Isanti Baptist Church the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment needed. The church Is located three miles east of Isanti on County Road 5. For more information call 763-444-5860.

Red Cross Blood Drive in Isanti

Thursday, Jan. 30: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Braham Area High School, 531 Elmhurst Ave. S. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.  A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

Long Lake Lutheran Spaghetti Dinner

Friday, Jan. 31: Long Lake Lutheran Church (Highway 47 and 277th Avenue) in Isanti will host a Spaghetti Dinner from 4-7 p.m. Adults: $5. Ages 6-12: $3. Under 6: Free. Includes spaghetti, garlic bread, dessert and beverage for one low price.

Long Lake Improvement Association Silent Auction

Saturday, Feb. 1: The 6th Annual Silent Auction sponsored by the Long Lake Improvement Association (LLIA) will be held at Captain’s on Long Lake in Isanti. Anyone (businesses and private) can place items in the auction and anyone can bid on the items. If your item sells you will get 75 percent and 25 percent will go to the LLIA. Drop off is at 9 a.m., with the auction starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Several local area antique and boutique shops are bringing items. All businesses are encouraged to bring items. Gustavus Choir to perform at Cambridge Lutheran

Saturday, Feb. 1: The Gustavus Choir, one of the nation’s foremost  Lutheran college choirs, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. at Cambridge  Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St. Cambridge. Under the direction of Dr. Gregory J. Aune, the choir is on a nine-day concert tour to selected cities in the Upper Midwest. Adult tickets, $10; age 17 and under free; at the church office, at the Leader Store, or at the door.

Cambridge Firefighters Gun Raffle, BBQ Dinner

Saturday, Feb. 1: The Cambridge Firefighters Relief Association will host its sixth annual Gun Raffle & Dickey’s BBQ Dinner at the Cambridge Armed Forces Reserve and Community Center. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10, adults; $5, 12 and under. Gun Raffle drawing at 9 p.m. $5 donation per ticket. Need not be present to win.

Thursday, Feb. 6: The Cambridge Friends of the Library will meet at 4 p.m. at the library, 244 S. Birch St. Join the Friends in planning programs and activities for children, teens and adults at the library.

Free Community Dinner & Bread Distribution

Thursday, Feb. 6: A Free Community Dinner & Bread Distribution hosted by Cambridge UPC Church at 210 10th Ave. SW, Cambridge (Renting the Seventh Day Adventists Church) will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. For questions, or if you need a ride, call Pastor David L. PFLAG Meeting 

Sunday, Feb. 9: The next meeting of the East Central MN Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays be held at 4:30 p.m. at Common Ground, the Cambridge United Methodist Church, at 404 North Cypress in Cambridge. Their regular meeting schedule is the second Sunday of the month. (Please use the NE door to the church.) If you are in need of support or answers on LGBT issues, they encourage you to attend. Free Presentation on Staring Seeds Indoors

Thursday, Feb. 13: Ruth Thunstrom (Isanti County Master Gardener) will be giving a presentation on starting seeds indoors. Thunstrom will show you how to use simple equipment without needing a greenhouse to start your own seeds indoors. She has been starting her own vegetable and flower seeds in her home for the last 10 years. This free presentation at the Isanti County Government Center in Cambridge is sponsored by the Isanti County Master Gardeners. For more information call 763-689-8254.

Mystery Dinner, Auction benefits New Pathways

Saturday, Feb. 22: A Mystery Dinner and Silent Auction will be held at Spectacular Events Banquet Center in Isanti to benefit the New Pathways, Inc. Path to Home shelter program for homeless families with children. Enjoy the prime rib and roasted chicken buffet while ‘Death by Chocolate’ is performed by ABC Theater Company.
