Candlelight Ski at college Feb. 1

in_ski2COMMUNITY SPORTS: The annual Candlelight Ski at the Cambridge Campus of the Anoka-Ramsey Community College will be held 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1. Ski rental is available at Outdoor Edge (115 S. Adam St., Cambridge, 763-552-3343). Free parking is available next to the college’s Campus Center. The candlelit trails are part of the Spirit River Nature Area’s cross country ski trails. Festivities include refreshments, live music and door prizes.

CFD Gun Raffle & BBQ Dinner Feb. 1

The sixth annual Cambridge Firefighters Relief Association Gun Raffle & Dickey’s BBQ Dinner takes place Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Cambridge Community Center & Armed Forces Reserve Center. Car bar opens at 4 p.m., dinner starts at 5 p.m. ($10 adult/$5 children 12-under). Must be 18-over to purchase raffle tickets. Isanti County MDHA Banquet Feb. 8

The Isanti County Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association hosts its 17th annual banquet on Saturday,  Feb. 8 at American Janes Event Center in Cambridge (formerly the American Legion). Social hour starts at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. (tickets are $35; sponsor levels start at $100).
