Two wins for CCS boys basketball

Picking up two wins over three nights, Cambridge Christian boys basketball improved to 12-4 on the season.

The Warriors defeated Community Christian of Willmar 52-19 on Jan. 18 in a first-time meeting between the teams. Grant Taylor scored 10 points for CCS, Jake Bergman 7 and Micah Bonkoski 6 in the game where all 12 players got in the scoring column.

On Jan. 20, the CCS boys  downed former CAL rival Christian Life 74-55 when Bergman topped the scoring with 26 points. Taylor hit for 21 point, and Justin Roble added 14 and Alex Moses 12.

Warriors girls  split games

The CCS girls are sitting at 10-3 on the season after splitting its last two games. The Warriors topped Lakeview Christian 75-57 on Friday night behind 21 points from Kellie Pedersen, 20 from Jerusalem Solomon, 13 from Kim Walburg and 9 from Emily Fridberg.

On Jan. 20, the CL Hawks got past CCS 63-47 when Pedersen scored 20 and Solomon 13 for the Warriors.
