Sons of Norway Meeting in Cambridge
Tuesday, Jan. 28: Rumelva Lodge, Sons of Norway in Cambridge will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center (SACS), 332 Third Ave. NW, Cambridge. There will be a presentation by Terry Salmela on the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Men and women are invited to come and visit this friendly group and learn about Nordic culture. Refreshments will be served. Sons of Norway is an organization that promotes and preserves the heritage and culture of Norway, and celebrates their relationship with other Nordic countries. Understanding the Digital Camera
Wednesday, Jan. 29: Taught by Dee Kotaska, this photography class from 6:30-8:30 p.m. will focus on creating artistic images by blending two photos together using different apps on your iphone/ipad. Long Lake Improvement Association Silent Auction
Saturday, Feb. 1: The 6th Annual Silent Auction sponsored by the Long Lake Improvement Association (LLIA) will be held at Captain’s on Long Lake in Isanti. Anyone (businesses and private) can place items in the auction and anyone can bid on the items. If your item sells you will get 75 percent and 25 percent will go to the LLIA. Drop off is at 9 a.m., with the auction starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Several local area antique and boutique shops are bringing items. All businesses are encouraged to bring items.
