The Gustavus Choir, one of the nation’s foremost Lutheran college choirs, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St.
Under the direction of Dr. Gregory J. Aune, the choir is on a nine-day concert tour to selected cities in the Upper Midwest.
The choir has toured annually throughout the continental United States and abroad during its 82-year history. In the past 25 years the Gustavus Choir has also appeared at cathedrals, conservatories, and cultural centers in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, Asia and South Africa. They have sung in Cambridge a number of times over the past years, always performing at a high level, with interesting programming, to the joy and pleasure of the audience.
This concert is part of the year-long Cambridge Lutheran Church 150th Anniversary celebration. Tickets are available at the church office, at the Leader Store in Cambridge, or at the door. Adults, $10; under 17 admitted free, no ticket necessary.
