The Cambridge Center for the Arts, serving Cambridge, Isanti County and beyond,endeavors to make the arts available to all people. CCFA is located at 144 E. Second Ave., Cambridge, and can be reached at 763-552-0320. The Gallery is open Tuesday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 6 p.m.

CCFA offers a variety of art classes and music lessons, photography club, writers group, concerts, bus trips to arts and theater events. The Center is host to Play Inc  Community Theater, the East Central Children’s Chorus, Nordic Connection events, as well as visual arts exhibits.

Art Gallery: 

Quiet … Photos and Pots ~ Dee Kotaska and Bob Briscoe. Open Jan. 10 through Feb. 15. Artists Reception Friday, Jan. 10, 4-7 p.m. Public welcome. Refreshments served. Join us for this great show featuring two outstanding artists.

• Play Inc: 

Tickets are currently on sale for Play Inc’s production of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.” Performances are Fridays in February with limited seating (30 per night; $15 for singles, $25 for two.) Great Valentine’s night date–snacks and beverages included. All tickets available at the CCFA Gallery. Get yours ASAP so you don’t miss out.

New Classes: 

Photography Basics: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22. Using you iPhone camera and apps.  Fee: $24/members, $20.

Creating Artistic Images: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29. Fee: $24/members, $20. Creating composition photos and blending of photos using a variety of the latest apps.

Understanding the Digital Camera: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5. Fee: $30/members, $25. Discuss and explore your digital camera and all its capabilities. Bring your camera, manual, and all your photography questions.  Visit the Cambridge Center for the Arts Facebook page for complete details.

• Community: 

The Gustavus College Choir will appear in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St. Tickets at the door, $10. Age 17 and under admitted free.

On Stage at the Hardy Center: Minnesota-based folk artist Charlie Parr,  Saturday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $15 each or two for $25. Buy tickets online at or by calling 763-689-6189.
