SPORTS ROUND-UP: The Rush City-Braham wrestlers defeated 2013 Great River Finals champion Pine City-Hinckley 69-12 in a home conference dual meet Dec. 10.
Delivering pins for the Tigers were Jacob Johnson at 106, Dylan Martin at 113, Dylan Mielke at 126, Tyler Sitz at 132, Francis Loerzel at 145, Dominic Montgomery at 160 and Luke Rands at 195. Along with the Dragons forfeiting at four weights, more RC-B points were added by a 13-6 decision from Chase Grant at 195.
On Dec. 13, the Tigers placed 7th out of eight teams at the Big Lake Invite. Monticello won the event by topping runner-up Sartell by 33 points.

CIMPC Girls Hockey splits with Wildcats, Saints
Chisago Lakes jumped out to a 3-0 lead and kept the advantage for a 6-2 road win over Cambridge-Isanti-Mora-Pine City girls hockey in a Dec. 13 Mississippi battle at Isanti.
Kristin Eustice snapped the Wildcats’ scoring string with a goal 3:58 into the second period. Eustice’s second goal late in the period had the Bluejackets to within 4-2, but the ‘Cats scored two unanswered goals in the third. Paige Anfinson made 31 stops in the CIMPC nets.
On Dec. 10, the Bluejackets dropped an 11-3 game to host Spring Lake Park. Netting goals for CIMPC were Maria Carpenter and Jordan Ramey. Abby Haug was called on for 34 saves for the team.

Buffalo tops C-I Boys Hockey
Buffalo stayed ahead of Rogers by one game in the Mississippi 8 boys hockey standings with a 7-0 home win over Cambridge-Isanti Dec. 14.
The Bison led 3-0 after one period and 5-0 after the second. Jacob Sibell made 66 saves for the Bluejackets.
• The Bluejackets notched their first victory of the season Dec. 17 with a 3-2 road win against Pine City-Rush City.
