Christmas light show in Isanti

Through the holidays: The Bryant and Danielle Lentsch Family in Isanti will once again be doing a Christmas light show. A donation box will be placed to benefit Children’s Specialty Hospitals or other non-profit organizations. Showtimes for the light show at 310 Elm St. SW in Isanti begins daily at 5 p.m. and runs at the beginning of each hour until 10 p.m. Each show runs 15 minutes and syncs up with music on 91.9 FM. Directions from Isanti Main Street: Head south on Railroad Street. Continue on Railroad Street until you reach South Passage. Turn right on South Passage. Turn right on Fourth Street. Turn right on Glenwood Street. Turn left on Third Street. Turn left on Elm Street S.W. The Lentsch home is on the right side of the street. The display features more than 10,000 lights. New features have been added this year including strobe lights to the mega tree that is now 20 feet tall.

Free Community Dinner & Bread Distribution

Thursday, Dec. 5: A Free Community Dinner & Bread Distribution hosted by Cambridge UPC Church at 210 10th Ave. SW, Cambridge (Renting the Seventh Day Adventists Church) will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. For questions, or if you need a ride, call Pastor David L. Willis at 651-674-8843. Bread Distributions are held the first Thursday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Braham Tree Lighting

Thursday, Dec. 5: The Braham Community Tree Lighting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Freedom Park. Share in the holiday spirit with hot cider, carols, the Girl Scouts and community. Prior to the tree lighting, the East Central Minnesota Children’s Chorus will perform at 5:30 p.m. at the Friendship Assembly of God, 210 W. Central Drive, Braham. The choir consists of children from Braham, Cambridge, Isanti and Rush City. All are welcome to these free events.

Jingle Bell Ball

Friday, Dec. 6: Girls and boys of any age are welcome to attend the Third annual Jingle Bell Ball, a holiday dance just for kids. The Cambridge Ambassadors and more than a dozen of their “Princess” friends will be there. The Ball will take place at the Armed Forces Reserve/Community Center in Cambridge from 6:30-8 p.m. Cost is $15 at the door. Meet and Greet Artist’s Reception at CCFA

Friday, Dec. 6: Cambridge Center for the Arts hosts a Meet and Greet Artist’s Reception for the community from 4-7 p.m. for the First Annual Members and Friends exhibit. This exhibit features work by CCFA local members and their friends. Located at 144 Second Ave. SE, Cambridge.

Holiday Bake & Craft Sale

Dec. 6-7: A Holiday Bake & Craft Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cambridge City Center. Proceeds go to the Isanti County Humane Society, “Share the Care.” Scout & Morgan Books in Cambridge will also donate 10 percent of their sales made during the hours of the sale these two days to the cause.

Li’l Farm Gift Sale

Dec. 6-8: The annual Li’l Farm sale will be held Dec. 6-8 at the Cambridge Catholic Church Parish Hall. Friday, Dec. 6, is a pre-sale ($5 entrance fee) from 4-7 p.m. The regular sale (no entrance fee) is on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SAC’s Christmas Friendship Tea Brunch

Saturday, Dec. 7: The Cambridge Senior Activity Center (SAC’s), 332 Third Ave. NW, is having a Christmas Friendship Tea Brunch at 10 a.m. All are welcome. Dine on Egg Strata and tea treats with the PrimeTime Singers who will provide entertainment. Cost $5. Call 763-689-6555 for your reserved seat.

Boutique, Craft & Bake Sale

Sunday, Dec. 8: A Boutique, Craft & Bake Sale will be held from noon-5 p.m. at American Jane’s Grill & Bar, 200 Second Ave. SE, Cambridge (former American Legion). Sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary.

East Terrace Cooperative Open House

Sunday, Dec. 8: All are welcome to an Open House from 1-4 p.m. for East Terrace Cooperative, an independent carefree living community for those 55 and older. There will be refreshments, tours and door prizes. East Terrace Cooperative is located at 2155 Sixth Lane SE, Cambridge (behind Menards and Walmart).

Service of Remembrance

Sunday, Dec. 8: All are welcome to the 15th annual Service of Remembrance at 7 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St. Come hear a special message of hope and healing from Pastor Travis Blake. Musical performers will be Kenny Krona, and Kara and Eric Sundvall. This is a non-denominational service provided by Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Refreshments following the service.

John Hirsch to host Christmas Party

Tuesday, Dec. 10: John Hirsch’s Cambridge Motors is having its annual community Christmas Party from 5:30-7 p.m. Santa will be there, along with presents for the kids. Kids can also have a photo taken with Santa.
