Thanksgiving Day Dinner

Thursday, Nov. 28: Cambridge Lutheran Church is serving its 13th annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner, which is open to anyone in the area. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with take-outs beginning at 10:30 a.m. Menu is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, cole slaw, cranberries, dinner rolls, and pie for desert. No registration needed, cost is free-will. No deliveries. Have a holiday free of all the preparing of a meal and have time to enjoy your family. The church is handicap accessible and located at 621 Old North Main St. in Cambridge.

Breakfast with Santa at Heavenly Sunshine

Saturday, Nov. 30: Heavenly Sunshine Preschool in Isanti at Faith Lutheran Church is hosting Breakfast with Santa from 9-11 a.m. Santa would love for your child to have a picture taken with him. The breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, milk or juice and coffee. The price is $6 for ages 13 & up, $4 for children 3-12 and children 2 and under free. Pictures will be available for purchase as will button photos of your child with Santa.

Christ the King Knights of Columbus Bingo

Sunday, Dec. 1: The Cambridge Christ the King Knights of Columbus will sponsor a bingo party at the Catholic Parish Hall on Sundays, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15 from 5-7 p.m. Lunch will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m. Prizes will be turkeys or cash. The public is invited.

Anoka-Ramsey hosts concert in honor of military

Monday, Dec. 2: Anoka-Ramsey Community College presents a concert in honor of our military featuring the ARCC Concert Band, Concert Choirs and Chorale performing a new setting of “The Gettysburg Address” for band and choir, Benjamin Britten’s “Ballad Of Heroes” with professional orchestra, “Armed Forces Medley” and more. The performance will be at the Cambridge-Isanti High School in the Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Festival of Lights at Cambridge Medical Center

Wednesday, Dec. 4: All are welcome to join for the 2013 Festival of Lights Celebration from 5-6 p.m. at the Cambridge Medical Center Cafeteria. This is a celebration of light and life, a blend of old traditions and new ideas, a way to keep memories alive and help to support those in need. You can also honor or remember a loved one through a donation this year. Your gift to the 2013 Festival of Lights will be used to support the Patient Emergency Fund. Chapter 684 of Vietnam Veterans meeting

Wednesday, Dec. 4: Chapter 684 of Vietnam Veterans of America will hold its monthly meeting at the Isanti Community Center at 7 p.m. All veterans of the era of the Vietnam War are invited to attend.

Jingle Bell Ball

Friday, Dec. 6: Girls and boys of any age are welcome to attend the Third annual Jingle Bell Ball, a holiday dance just for kids. The Cambridge Ambassadors and more than a dozen of their “Princess” friends will be there. The Ball will take place at the Armed Forces Reserve/Community Center in Cambridge from 6:30-8 p.m. Cost is $15 at the door. Holiday Bake & Craft Sale

Dec. 6-7: A Holiday Bake & Craft Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cambridge City Center. Proceeds go to the Isanti County Humane Society, “Share the Care.” Scout & Morgan Books in Cambridge will also donate 10 percent of their sales made during the hours of the sale these two days to the cause.

Li’l Farm Gift Sale

Dec. 6-8: The annual Li’l Farm sale will be held Dec. 6-8 at the Cambridge Catholic Church Parish Hall. Friday, Dec. 6, is a pre-sale ($5 entrance fee) from 4-7 p.m. The regular sale (no entrance fee) is on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are tons of new articles perfect for Christmas.

SAC’s Christmas Friendship Tea Brunch

Saturday, Dec. 7: The Cambridge Senior Activity Center (SAC’s), 332 Third Ave. NW, is having a Christmas Friendship Tea Brunch at 10 a.m. Eat before you shop and bring your friend, mother, sister etc. All are welcome. Dine on Egg Strata and tea treats with the PrimeTime Singers who will provide entertainment. Cost $5. Call 763-689-6555 for your reserved seat.

John Hirsch to host Christmas Party

Tuesday, Dec. 10: John Hirsch’s Cambridge Motors is having its annual community Christmas Party from 5:30-7 p.m. All are welcome, especially children. Santa will be there, along with presents for the kids, goodies to eat and lots of fun. Kids can also have a photo taken with Santa.

Braham Santa Day

Saturday, Dec. 14: Braham Santa Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Braham. Braham VFW Pancake Brunch, Photos with Santa, Santa’s Gift Shoppe, Mrs. Claus Bake Sale, Christmas Music and Caroling.
