ORDINANCE NO. 595
AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM ONE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R1) TO MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-3). (PARKWOOD ON THE LAKES 3RD ADDITION OUTLOTS C AND F) (TERRY MICK)
WHEREAS, the tracts of land, hereinafter called the tracts, lying and being in the City of Cambridge, County of Isanti and State of Minnesota, described as follows, to wit:
Outlot C and Outlot F, Parkwood on the Lakes 3rd Addition are currently zoned by the City of Cambridge, hereinafter called the City, as being in the R-1 One Family Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, Terry Mick, Mick Construction, has requested the rezoning of the tracts from One Family Residence District (R-1) to Multiple Family Residence District (R-3); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has made a report pertaining to such rezoning request, a copy of which review has been presented to the City Council of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City, on the 6th day of November, 2013, following proper notice, held and conducted a public hearing regarding the requested rezoning, following which hearing such Planning Commission adopted a recommendation that such rezoning be approved subject to the following condition; and
1. Approval of the rezoning to R-3 Multiple Family Residence district is contingent upon Terry Mick purchasing the subject properties by November 1, 2014. If Terry Mick does not purchase the subject properties by November 1, 2014, the zoning reverts back to R-1 One Family Residence district.
WHEREAS, such recommendation has been presented to the City Council and the City Council of Cambridge hereby finds that the rezoning conforms to the Citys Comprehensive Plan and City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cambridge, Minnesota, ordains that the tracts described above are hereby zoned R-3 Multiple Family Residence District subject to the condition #1 as listed above.
This ordinance shall become effective the day following publication of notice of its adoption.
