The Cambridge Center for the Arts serves Cambridge, Isanti County and beyond. The Gallery is located at 144 Second Ave. SE, Cambridge. Art Gallery: Stop in to view our current show, “Fiber and Glass.”  Fiber artist Becky Utecht and glass artist, Tony Scorza, present an unusual show of stunningly beautiful art. Come in and enjoy. Bring your checkbook and buy a special Christmas present. This show continues through Nov. 21.

CCFA is excited to host our Member and Friends Exhibit, showcasing some of our own members’ art work. This annual show and sale begins Dec. 5 with an artists reception on Friday, Dec. 6, from 4-7 p.m. at our Second Avenue gallery. Give a treasured gift of art to someone special this year, or just feast your eyes on this great art show.

Writers Group: After some time off, our writers group is back, meeting at 2 p.m., the third Sunday of every month.  Everyone with a passion for writing at any level is welcome.  Contact Pam for more details at 763-389-8204 or email halfmoon_hollow@hotmail.com.

Play Inc.: Play Inc. Community Theater welcomes anyone interested in musical theater to audition for “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” which will run Friday evenings during February. Auditions will be Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. Come prepared to sing a short song. An accompanist will be provided. Parts for young adults to older adults are available.

Children’s Chorus: The East Central Children’s Chorus Honor Organization is busy rehearsing for its upcoming holiday concerts Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the Braham Tree Lighting Festivities; Dec. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul; Dec. 10, at 6 p.m., at the River Hills Commons in just west of Cambridge. Come out and hear these wonderful singers.

Volunteers: A volunteer training session will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 3-4 p.m. Learn operating procedures and other information for helping at the gallery. New volunteers are always welcome. Contact Jodie at cambridgecenter4thearts@gmail.com before Dec. 13 for more details.

Memberships/Donations: Become a CCFA member. Individual memberships, $40;  Senior and student memberships, $25.
