ECRL Library launches digital magazine database

East Central Regional Library in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books is pleased to offer Zinio for Libraries. It was awarded Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal. Zinio is the world’s largest newsstand, offering multi-user access to popular publications.

Through East Central Regional Library’s website at www.ecrlib.org, ECRL patrons will have unlimited multi-user access to complete digital magazines, which can easily be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library.

Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video. “Taste of Home,” “Us,” “National Geographic” and “Rolling Stone” are just a few of the popular titles available. Plus you can read them on your computer, your tablet or even your smartphone.

See a library staff member at any ECRL branch or outreach site for more information on how to access this service, or visit www.ecrlib.org.

There are many helpful tutorials available on our website on how to get started with Zinio.

It’s simple and it’s free with your East Central Regional Library card. Don’t have one? Stop by your local ECRL branch and sign up today.
