After a flag-filled first half had them down 14-6, Braham Football rallied with a great second half to defeat Barnum 28-20 in the Section 7A championship game played on a decent night in Duluth Oct. 31. The win sends the Bombers to the Class A quarterfinals at St. Cloud State, 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. They will face Dawson-Boyd (10-1) who defeated Wabasso 28-0 in the Section 5A championship Nov. 1.

A third-and-goal touchdown pass from John Larson to Sonny Foote, and a 48-yard breakaway catch by Zach Dahlman had the game tied at 20-20 just into the fourth quarter. Elijah Overton then tore off on a 63-yard screen pass for the winning points with 6:47 remaining in the game.

The State tourney berth is the sixth overall for the Bombers.
