Korbyn Felde and the rest of the Bluejackets had a strong serving night against the Rangers, limiting their mistakes to reach the 7AAA finals on Saturday night.

Korbyn Felde and the rest of the Bluejackets had a strong serving night against the Rangers, limiting their mistakes to reach the 7AAA finals on Saturday night.

The Cambridge-Isanti volleyball squad lived up to its No. 1 seed for the Section 7AAA tournament by holding strong in a wild semifinals match over visiting No. 4 seed Forest Lake 18-25, 25-17, 25-17, 24-26, 15-11.

Korbyn Felde, who had several big kills to stop Ranger runs in the match, described the victory, “It was really exciting. We had a lot of positive energy, and we just stayed up.”

The Bluejackets will take on No. 2 seed Grand Rapids in the Section 7AAA championship 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Elk River High School gym. Felde on the Thunderhawks: “They have a really good setter. We played them up in the Duluth tournament, and we beat them in three. It will be a really good match on Saturday night.”
