Isanti VFW BINGO

Wednesdays: Isanti VFW Bingo is held every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Five games at $2 per game and $1,000 Progressive Cover All Game. The VFW is located at 410 Railroad Ave. S, and can be reached at 763-444-9787.

Fall family fun “Water Wonderland” at Green Barn

Through Oct. 31: Families are welcome to an indoor straw maze ($2.50 per person any age, under 2 free) open daily. Learn about water features and creatures found in oceans, rivers, lakes and ponds. Kids will also love to play in the corn kernel pit ($1.50 per person. Must be at least 2 yrs). Both are open daily through Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don’t forget your camera. Informational Meeting on C-I Bond Referendum

Thursday, Oct. 31: An informational meeting on the Cambridge-Isanti School District bond referendum will be hosted by Superintendent Dr. Raymond Queener at 7 a.m. at Peoples Cafe in Cambridge and during the Cambridge-Isanti Rotary Club meeting at Wintergreen’s in Isanti at 11:45 a.m. All are welcome.

Halloween Fun at Harvest Christian Center

Thursday, Oct. 31: Harvest Christian Center is sponsoring the Kidz Kraze and Mystery Maze from 5-8 p.m. at Harvest Church in Isanti. It is a free community event. There will be games, a fun maze, bouncy houses and lots of candy.

‘Trunk N Treat’ at Long Lake Lutheran Church

Thursday, Oct. 31: All are welcome toTrunk N Treat’ at Long Lake Lutheran Church from 4-7 p.m. There will be a bouncy house, as well as games, activities and candy for the kids. Canned donations are also welcome to benefit the local food shelf.

Enjoy Halloween while Giving to Those in Need

Thursday, Oct. 31: The organizers at 1535 Marigold Drive in Cambridge are asking for the community’s help again this year. When stopping by to view the Annual Halloween Display, they are asking for you to bring a non-perishable food item or monetary donation to help the Cambridge Food Shelf. The display will be all new this year, so come on out and help support those in need at the same time.

Christ the King Knights of Columbus to Play Bingo

Sunday, Nov. 3: The Cambridge Christ the King Knights of Columbus will sponsor a bingo party at the Catholic Parish Hall on Sundays Nov. 3,10 and 17 from 5-7 p.m. Prizes will be turkeys or cash. The public is invited.

PFLAG Meeting

Sunday, Nov. 10: The next meeting of the East Central MN Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays be held at 4:30 p.m. at Common Ground, the Cambridge United Methodist Church, 404 North Cypress in Cambridge. Our regular meeting schedule is the second Sunday of the month. (Please use the NE door to the church.) If you are in need of support or answers on LGBT issues, they encourage you to attend. Free women’s event Nov. 2 at North Isanti Baptist

Ditch the drama and embrace his grace. All are welcome to learn more about freeing yourself from those things that continue to hold you back from living the life you were purposed for.

Hear from a panel of three women share about their experience; from Shari Harris, author of the book, “Faith in the Workplace;” and some insights and simple tools from Melody LaBeau that will help you move forward.

Experience the interaction with those at your tables as you do some fun and meaningful activities, and stick around for a light lunch and fellowship.

Living in the Gap: Counting the Fish (John 21), will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at North Isanti Baptist Church. It is a free event.

Everyone can do one thing to change the world

All are welcome to join at First Baptist Church in Cambridge on Saturday, Nov. 2 to find out what one thing you can do.

The morning will begin with a 5K Fun Run at the Cambridge-Isanti High School track. Registration for this event begins at 7:30 a.m. and the run will commence at 8 a.m. Registration is $10 per person with a $25 family maximum. The registration proceeds will be used to purchase water filters for Robin’s Nest Children’s Home in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Snacks and water will be provided for all run/walkers and prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event.

At 9 a.m., the community is invited to First Baptist Church for workshops on foster care, adoption and child sponsorship. Updates will also be shared by Our Response members who travelled to Rwanda this past summer. All workshops are free. To pre-register for the event call the church office at 763-689-1173.

Annual Fall Pork Dinner at Fish Lake Lutheran

The Annual Fall Pork Dinner will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. (until gone) Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Harris.

Besides the dinner, there will be a craft and bake sale, apron auction, special quilt drawing and silent auction.

Dinner will include roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cole slaw, pickled beets and pickles, roll, dessert, apple cider, milk and coffee. Adults: $8, ages 6-12: $4, ages 5 and under: free. Proceeds go toward local community needs.
