Isanti County 4-H haunted house offers scary good time

Isanti County 4-H is once again hosting a haunted house and carnival at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge.

After a two-year break, the haunted house is returning and should be better than ever. This year the haunted house will run Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6:30-10 p.m. haunted house 1

The haunted house includes a free hay ride and is $3 for youth up to age 12, and $4 for ages 12 and above.

On Saturday, Oct. 26 there will be a kid-friendly matinee at the haunted house. The matinee hours are from 3-5 p.m. with trick or treating in the haunted house.

During the matinee the lights are on in the haunted house so that it isn’t scary for younger children. There will also be a costume contest on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Kids will also be able to participate in carnival games.  Games include a sucker wheel, cake walk and face painting.  There are a wide variety of games and activities for the whole family to have fun.

The haunted house and carnival was started to provide families a safe, fun and affordable option for local Halloween fun.

This year our original group of volunteers has returned for a revival of the haunted house and carnival that had tapered off in the last several years.

The committee has spent the last several months planning, organizing and building.

They are excited to welcome families into the carnival and spook them at the haunted house.

Isanti County 4-H is a program of the University of Minnesota and supported by Isanti County and provides positive youth development to youth in kindergarten through one year past high school graduation. 4-H is the largest youth development program in the county.
