It was a hot & sticky Aug. 29 afternoon when the Princeton Cross Country Invite was held on Fairview Shores Golf Course. The Braham boys placed 3rd with 55 points, just behind Spectrum and St. Cloud Christian who tied at 54. At left, Logan Leavey (10th, 20:27) and Connor TenNapel (5th, 20:11) paced each other on the second loop of the boys 5,000 meter run. Thomas Warner added an 8th place (20:27), with Nick Jones (30th) and Cody Anderson (31st) also running for the Bomber varsity.
Rachel Eskuri (below) led the Braham girls varsity by placing 11th at 18:22. Teammate Amanda Otto came in 32nd at the race.
Pen Sullivan won the shortened JV boys race with a 10:01 time, and Sam Foote was 7th at 11:10. Kaitlyn Dordal had the top time of 12:02 in the JV girls run. Calvin Engberg finished 3rd in the middle school boys race.
“Our kids all ran well in the very hot conditions, bringing home seven medals out of 13 runners. It was a very rough and tough meet,” noted Bomber Coach Joe Rajkowski.
