Wednesdays: The Isanti Area Library Link site, located in Isanti City Hall, is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The link site is run by the East Central Regional Library System.
Weekly Farmer’s Markets
Ongoing: There will be a weekly Cambridge-Isanti Farmer’s Market happening May through October on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Cambridge at the City Center Market and Isanti on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Riverside Market.
Spirit River Community Dinner
Wednesday, Aug. 14: A free Community Dinner will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE, Isanti. This is the time for the community to come to Spirit River Community Center to have a free meal and get to know what they are about.

Thursday, Aug. 15: A free Community Dinner will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Use the downstairs entrance. Everyone is welcome to join for a time of fellowship and a meal. Call the church office at 763-444-9201 with questions.

Saturday, Aug. 17: Garage Guys will meet at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti at 8 a.m. The time will start with devotions and coffee and then move on to the project(s) at hand. This is open to all—males and females.
Alumni, Teachers invited to Class of ‘83 reunion
Saturday, Aug. 17: All Cambridge-Isanti High School alumni and teachers are invited to join the Class of 1983 at Junction Bowl in Isanti starting at 9 p.m. The Class of ’83 will be holding a private party until 9, then the doors will open to all alumni and teachers. They are asking for a donation to help cover the cost of the facility; then what you spend is up to you.
Cambridge Class of 1973 Reunion
Saturday, Aug. 17: The Cambridge Class of 1973 will hold its 40th reunion at the Cambridge Armed Forces Readiness Center, 505 Spirit River Drive. Veteran’s Picnic at Isanti County Fairgrounds
Saturday, Aug. 17: The annual Veteran’s Picnic will be held at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge at 3 p.m. All veterans and their families are invited to attend.
Benefit for Chad Rolstad, suffering from brain trauma
Saturday, Aug. 17: A benefit is being held for an Isanti man who was left in a coma after being struck by a train last May. The event for Chad Rolstad will take place from 3-7 p.m. at Maxx Bar and Grill in Ham Lake. All proceeds will help offset the cost of medical bills for the family and help Rolstad while he is out of work and in recovery. There will be a silent auction, bake sale, taco bar and bean bag tournaments. Rolstad was hit May 20 and suffered severe brain trauma. Since then he has taken strides in his recovery. Pancake Breakfast to help Pregnancy Resource Center
Sunday, Aug. 18: The Pregnancy Resource Center of Cambridge has teamed up with the Cambridge Lions to host a Pancake Breakfast/Silent Auction to benefit the PRC. The breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church Parish Hall in Cambridge. All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes and Scrambled Eggs with Ham, Orange Juice, Coffee and Milk will be served. Silent Auction items include Minnesota sports team tickets and memorabilia, gift cards to local businesses, handmade items and themed baskets. Buy tickets in advance at the PRC or by calling 763-689-4319. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the event. Tickets are $6 for ages 12 and up; $4 for ages 3-11.

Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution
Tuesday, Aug. 20: The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution will be held at the Isanti County Fairgrounds. Registration and food distribution will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. There will not be any preregistration. Do not arrive before 1 p.m. Food will be distributed to one person only per address. Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting
Wednesday, Aug. 21: Parkinson’s Support Group will hold their regular monthly meeting from 10-11:30 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing, Commons Building, 1545 River Hills Parkway, Cambridge. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, their families, friends, and caregivers are invited to attend. Come and enjoy the fellowship, light refreshments, share interests, concerns, and more with others who are living with Parkinson’s.
Peek at Heavenly Sunshine Preschool

Cambridge High School Class of 1978 Reunion
Saturday, Aug. 24: The Cambridge Class of 1978 will hold its 35th reunion from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Captain’s On Long Lake, 27821 Bay Shore Dr. NW, Isanti. The gathering is free. Meals and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day. There will be tables reserved inside and in areas outside. Public boat dock, swimming, fire pit, pavilion, free DJ and Karaoke in the evening. Bring camp chairs and cameras. Please, no children. No formal mailers are going out.
