The 37th annual Isanti Firefighters Rodeo drew huge crowds Friday and Saturday night, with both performances held under fantastic weather on the north side of town. Final proceeds from the western gala go toward improvements in the Isanti Fire District.

Tooter Silver of Quitman, Arkansas took All-Around Cowboy honors after he placed 2nd in Steer Wrestling and 4th in Team Roping during Saturday night’s rodeo.

Winning the weekend’s Steer Wrestling competition was Tyler Judd Harris of Cole Camp, Missouri in a blistering 4.2 seconds.

Bee Jay Scott of Otley, Iowa was the top Bareback rider with his 80 point score Friday night. Tyler Judd Harris of Cole Camp, Missouri placed 1st in Steer Wrestling with a slick 4.2 second time Friday night. In Team Roping, it was the duo of Chad Day of Estherville, Iowa and Will George of Coon Rapids, Iowa placing 1st Friday night with a 6.6 second mark.

Saturday night was filled with more top showings. In Saddle Bronc, David Martin of Zwingal, Iowa earned an 82 point score from the judges. Kadin Boardman of Jackson, Missouri won Tie Down Roping in 10.0 seconds. Desirae Weigel of Bismark, North Dakota made the turns with the fastest time of 14.83 seconds to win Barrel Racing. Capping off the rodeo was Michael Riggs Jr. of Statesboro, Georgia winning the Bull Riding event with an 84 point score.
