The Wellness Van is coming to Isanti July 13

The Isanti Lions Club, in partnership with Unity and Mercy hospitals, is offering a free health screening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 13 during Isanti Rodeo Jubilee Days at the Isanti Community Center.

Area residents can have their blood pressure taken, and have their blood drawn by fingerstick to determine non-fasting cholesterol, HDL, HDL ratio, and glucose. After a short period of time, each participant has an opportunity to review their results with a health professional. Recommendations will be given on ways to maintain or regain a healthier life. If necessary, a referral to a physician will be suggested for further testing or treatment.

The Wellness Van is a co-project of District 5M7 Lion/Lioness and Mercy and Unity hospitals. The van is staffed by nurses and lab staff from Mercy and Unity hospitals. Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, and Unity Hospital in Fridley, are part of Allina Hospitals & Clinics.
