Weekly Farmer’s Markets

Ongoing: There will be a weekly Cambridge-Isanti Farmer’s Market happening May through October on Saturdays in Cambridge at the City Center Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Isanti on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Riverside Market. Then, from July through October, another Cambridge day will be added for Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at City Center Market.

Spirit River Community Dinner

Wednesday, July 10: A free Community Dinner will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE, Isanti.

Knitting Class offered at Dear Jupiter

Thursday, July 11: Calling all knitters. Sign up for Sock Knitting 101 to learn the basics of knitting socks in three class sessions. Instructor has 10 years of experience. Dalbo Fire Annual Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, July 14: Come support the Dalbo Fire Department by enjoying a delicious Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Dalbo Fire Hall is located on Hwy. 47, 4 miles north of Hwy 95. Adults: $5, Kids 12 & under: $3, 4 & under: free.

Together in Recovery

Sunday, July 14: The Christian-based recovery group, Together in Recovery, will meet from 7:15-8:30 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). All are welcome.

Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting

Wednesday, July 17: Parkinson’s Support Group will hold their regular monthly meeting from 10-11:30 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing, Commons Building, 1545 River Hills Parkway, Cambridge. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, their families, friends, and caregivers are invited to attend. Come and enjoy the fellowship, light refreshments, share interests, concerns, and more with others who are living with Parkinson’s.

Isanti County Boosters’ Club

Wednesday, July 17: The Isanti County Boosters’ Club, a branch of the 7 County Senior Federation, will meet at SAC’s on Third, 332 3rd Ave. NW, Cambridge. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. with the meeting at 12:30 p.m. All seniors are welcome.

Free Community Dinner

Thursday, July 18: A free Community Dinner will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Use the downstairs entrance. Everyone is welcome to join for a time of fellowship and a meal. Call the church office at 763-444-9201 with questions.

Compassionate Friends Support Group

Thursday, July 18: The Compassionate Friends (supporting family after a child dies) holds its monthly meeting the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1050 Southview Ave., Braham. For more information call 763-568-4138.

Saturday, July 20: Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution will be held at Elim Baptist Church in Isanti from 8–9:30 a.m. $15 donation.

Learn about the Debt Collection Process

Saturday, July 20: Mercy Anti-Collection Services, a licensed credit services organization in Minnesota, will offer a class on the debt collection process and how to change or stop the process. The class will be held from 9-11 a.m. at Wintergreens in Isanti. Cost is $20 at the door or $10 if you pre-register. Bring your box of collection letters and your questions. Penny Lowery benefit

Sunday, July 21: A benefit for Penny Lowery will be held at Lakeside Christian Church (32393 Rendova Circle NE, Cambridge) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Activities will include Live Music, Games, a Silent Auction, and Food. In March of 2013, Penny was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Penny has worked several years as a Chemical Dependency Tech at Dellwood Recovery Center. She was also a dedicated volunteer at New Pathways in Cambridge, as well as a family member at the New Hope Community Church. Join Penny to celebrate her life, and raise money to help her and Shaun cover their growing medical bills, and cover their living expenses while Penny undergoes treatment. A fund has been set up for Penny at Wells Fargo and donations will be accepted at any branch location.

Blood Drive at Cambridge Medical Center

Monday, July 22: An American Red Cross Blood drive will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at Cambridge Medical Center, 701 S. Dellwood. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
