June was a 14 year Breast Cancer survivor and a volunteer for the “Sojourn Bear” program. There, she handmade many unique “Sojourn Teddy Bears” which provided cancer patients with support, comfort and inspiration.
She attended one of Family Pathways programs, “The Gathering” in Pine City and Braham whenever possible. This is a free adult daycare center that provides a one-on-one volunteer for each participant. Family Pathways not only has senior services which include advocacy, social respite, companionship programs, they also have services for youth and food shelves providing lunches for children and needy families. We are so thankful this is available for seniors and support it.
