Braham is picking up the pace heading into playoff time. The Bombers won their last two games, including taking it to Onamia 16-1 on a wet and chilly May 17. Section 5A playoffs are scheduled to begin May 25.

The Bombers opened with a 3-0 lead in the first against the Panthers, then doubled that margin in the second when Randy Braund, Thomas Johnson and Sam Stigen scored. The team blew the game open with an eight-run third inning ignited by Johnny Clemmer’s leadoff double to right-center. Noah Bone had 2 hits and 2 RBI in the inning, with Shane Parson also adding a looping RBI single to right.

Casey Grell had his good mix going to get the win on the mound while keeping the Panthers down. He finished by catching two batters looking at curves for strikeouts and induced a soft liner to Alex Sutton at first base in the top of the fifth.

Senior Casey Grell kept visiting Onamia off balance with his mix in the wet five-inning victory. He finished with 5 strikeouts and allowed just 3 hits.
