Michael “Mike” Sublet

sublet michael photoMichael “Mike” Sublet, 66, of Faribault, died on Friday, April 5, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Michael Duane, the son of Francis and Joy (Griffith) Sublet was born May 14, 1946. He married Mary Yanta on June 27, 1970 in Cambridge. He was formerly employed at the St. Peter Community Hospital, St. Mary’s Nursing Home in St. Paul, Linden Center and the Red Wing Hospital in finance. He also enjoyed spending time with grandchildren on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three children, Dominic Sublet (and Lori Schulz), Aaron (and Nicole) Sublet and Jennie (and Kyle) Holmberg all of Faribault; 10 grandchildren, Livia, Braden, Owen, Sophia and August Schulz, Madeline and Brady Hallet, Samantha, Nicholas and Trevor Holmberg; his mother, Joy Sublet of Braham; two brothers, William Patrick (and Kathy) Sublet of Minneapolis and Douglas (and Mary) Sublet of Mankato; Aunt Ruth Petersen of Braham; and nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis; one son, Dana Sublet; one grandson, Logan Schulz and one brother, Dennis Sublet.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault on April 11, 2013 with Fr. Erik Lundgren officiating. Music was provided by Deb Morgan, organist and choir director of Paradisum Choir. Arrangements were with Bolt Funeral Home, Faribault.
