The Cambridge Center for the Arts is sponsoring “Leave Your Mark,” an art exhibition by Anoka-Ramsey Community College art students.

The ARCC Cambridge Campus Art Club will showcase their work at their opening reception on Saturday, May 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the CCFA. The public is cordially invited to share in this exciting display of student work.

The exhibition will continue until May 28. Stop by and see the students’ work at the Center, 144 SE 2nd St. in Cambridge. The Center is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Cambridge Center for the Arts is offering a calligraphy class where you can learn the art of lovely handwriting using a simple felt-tipped pen. Four sessions are planned, 1-1/2 hours each, Saturdays: May 11, 18, and 25, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $40 for non-members, $30 for members. Call 763-691-9679 to register or for more information.

In addition to the Play Inc. summer theater offerings for children and youth, as part of the Cambridge Center for the Arts, Play Inc would also like to offer summer workshops and classes. The classes present various opportunities for kids and adults to develop skills they maybe didn’t even know they had. We would like to offer our first classes beginning in May.

Play Inc is currently looking for people interested in performing in an Improv troupe. This will hopefully become a standing group or performers who would be available for various events in our communities. We’re looking for four to eight members. Visit playinconline.org. or cambridgecenterforthearts.org for more complete information.

CCFA is hiring teachers for classes for all ages, including drawing and painting, photography, music, theater, writing, dance and more. Send a letter of interest and resume to Cambridge Center for the Arts, 144 2nd Ave. SE, Cambridge, MN, 55008, or email director@cambridgecenterforthearts.org. Deadline is May 6.
