Friday, April 26: A free acoustic concert featuring local artist, Aubrey Olson,  will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Guitar Shop Cambridge/Snack Stop; 145 2nd Ave. SW, Cambridge. Free, fresh brewed coffee courtesy of Rum River Roasters, too.

Braham Early Childhood Garage Sale

Saturday, April 27: The Braham Early Childhood Garage Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Braham Area Elementary School. They will have new and gently used kids items. They will also be collecting non-perishable items for the local Braham Food Shelf and asking $1 person with all proceeds going to the Early Childhood program. Sellers still wanted. Gerdin Cemetery Association Spring Meeting

LYRA  Concert – Russian Quartet

Saturday, April 27: The Cambridge Center for the Arts presents LYRA, a choral quartet from St. Petersburg, Russia, will perform at 7:30 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St., Cambridge. LYRA, an a-cappella group of four professional vocalists, will sing a concert of Russian choral music. Tickets will be sold at the door: $8; age 17 and under admitted free.

Spring Concert to benefit Li’l Farm

Sunday, April 28: The Cambridge Center for the Arts presents a Spring Concert featuring the East Central Children’s Chorus, the PrimeTime Singers and the Celestial Bells hand bell choir. The concert is at 3 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St., Cambridge. The concert is offered as a benefit for the Li’l Farm Children’s Home. Tickets are $8 and sold at the door.  Age 17 and under are free.

Together in Recovery

Sunday, April 28: The Christian-based recovery group, Together in Recovery, will meet from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). Use the entrance on the north side of the building to maintain confidentiality (look for the sign). All are welcome.

Our Response Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Monday, April 29: The Our Response organization will hold a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 304 Main St. South, Cambridge. Adults $7; children $5. Proceeds go toward the Rwanda trip expenses.

Wednesday, May 1: Spirit River Kid’s Klub (Grades 1-3) & 456 Fellowship (Grades 4-6) will meet at Spirit River Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Meals will be provided to all families, and a nursery will be available. Spirit River is at 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). A Lenten Service will be held at 7:15 p.m.

Thursday, May 2: A Garage Sale will be held at Long Lake Lutheran Church, Hwy. 47& 277th Ave., Isanti, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Prayer Gathering

Thursday, May 2: Spirit River Community Church will hold a Prayer Gathering at noon at Rendezvous Coffee in Isanti, 310 Dahlin Ave.

Friends of Grass Lake Church Meeting

Thursday, May 2: The Friends of the Grass Lake Church will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Kanabec History Center. Plans will continue for two events there this summer. Further discussion regarding other possible updates to the building is also on the agenda. All interested in the history of the Grass Lake area and the people who pioneered there are welcome to attend.

Fundraiser for SAC’s on Third

Friday, May 3: A spaghetti feed and silent auction fundraiser will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church Parish Hall, 315 N. Fern St., Cambridge. Proceeds will go toward SAC’s on Third’s move to the Cambridge City Center. Silent auction begins at 3:30 p.m. with the spaghetti dinner beginning at 4 p.m. Anyone who wishes to contribute should contact Tammy at  763-202-7195.

Breakfast to Benefit Church Youth Group

Saturday, May 4: A Hot Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. hosted by the Dale Evangelical Free Church youth group. MS Walk Cambridge and Surrounding Area

Sunday, May 5: MS Walk Cambridge and surrounding area will be held beginning from 10 to 11 a.m. There is a 1.5 mile or 3.5 mile route. Register at www.myMSwalk.org or call 1-800-582-5296. It will starting at Cambridge Community College and end at Cambridge City Park. There will be food, water, snacks, entertainment, face painting and drawing for prizes.

Young Life Fundraiser

Sunday, May 5: A Young Life fundraiser, “Driving for a Change,” will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at John Hirsch’s Cambridge Motors. This will be a unique 30-minute walk-through fundraiser to see how Young Life is helping to drive change for kids.
