CMC Foundation continues its community support

Coming off a successful year of growth and development, the Cambridge Medical Center (CMC) Foundation welcomes a new chair and board members in 2013 as the organization continues to focus on supporting the needs of the medical center and communities served by CMC.

This year the Foundation will continue to raise funds to support the recent $10 million Emergency Department and infusion therapy renovations, as well as ongoing community programs including Reach Out and Read and the Harbor Room Cancer Resource Center.

New Foundation board members include incoming board chair Dennis Troff who replaced longtime board member Chris Miller. Troff, retired President of People’s Bank of Commerce, is a strong supporter of the community, medical center and Foundation mission.

Also new to the board are Dr. Jane Achenbach and Dr. Adam Curtis. Achenbach, a neurologist at CMC, has been a longtime supporter of the foundation. She initiated the Patient Emergency Fund in 2008 through a personal contribution dedicated to helping patients in need.

Curtis, a dentist who grew up in Isanti County, returned to serve the area after dental school and practices at East Cambridge Dental. He is also a dedicated community member and supporter of Cambridge Medical Center.
