Not a death penalty … Just a payback

Dear Editor:

The huge number of murders in present times only proves our present laws don’t put any fear of the consequences.

Prison time gives inmates 100 medical, three meals a day, a nice place to sleep, top-grade privileges for recreation, television, computers, etc. If I were homeless I would certainly do something for the privileges of these handouts by the generosity of the taxpayers.

A prisoner with a 30-year sentence costs us $2 million at today’s rate. Some of these young offenders can cost up to 60 plus years or $4 million. My idea of some teeth in the laws; send these killers to the organ transplant unit where they will have the opportunity to give back life where they have taken it away. Repay the debt.
