A benefit for Jane Anderson will be held Saturday, April 27, at North Isanti Baptist Church in Cambridge.
Jane and her husband Roger were in Bangkok, Thailand teaching English to young adults when their tour bus was in an accident.
The bus was coming down a mountain when the brakes went out and crashed into a concrete barrier. Jane was hospitalized in Bangkok until December, when she was able to return to Minnesota.
The benefit will feature a concert by Steve and Tommy Marcio, who are award winning Elvis tribute artists who have performed in places such as Branson, Mo., and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
It will also include a turkey dinner, silent auction and bake sale. The doors open at 4 p.m. for the silent auction and bake sale. The turkey dinner will be at 5 p.m. followed by the Elvis tribute show.
Tickets are $20, with limited preferred seating tickets, $25. For tickets and more information, call Elim Baptist Church, Monday through Thursday, at 763-444-9221. Donations can also be made at any Wells Fargo location for the Jane Anderson Benefit Fund.
Since in Minnesota, Jane has been hospitalized at Abbot Northwestern, Sister Kenney and Bethesda. She is undergoing treatment and has no feeling or ability to use her legs at this point. She is learning to use her arms and hands with therapy. Jane has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
Jane is a retired teacher from the St. Francis School District and a member of Elim Baptist Church in Isanti.
