Diane Patricia Lohse, 63, of Deltona, Fla., unexpectedly passed away March 18, 2013.
The daughter of Charles Richard and Helen (Kellner) Ahlstromn, she was born July 12, 1949 in Minneapolis. After her mother passed away in 1951, Diane was raised and cared for by her dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She graduated from Braham High School in 1967.
She was united in marriage to Richard Braun in 1968 and twin daughters, Dana and Denise, were born to this union.
She began working for The Bindery in 1979 and moved with and up in the company for 27 years. That is where she met many lifelong friends.
In 1983, Diane married Gregory Lohse. She helped the love of her life fight his short battle with cancer until he passed away in 1988.
In 2006, Diane moved to Florida to be with her daughters and granddaughters. She loved to spend time with her girls, always nurturing and caring for them. Many happy times were spent shopping, going to Disney and to the beach, among so many other memories.
Diane was a kind, loving and compassionate woman who enjoyed life and her family and friends. She always gave of herself and never asked for anything in return.
Diane is survived by two daughters, Dana Braun of Deltona, Fla., Denise (Duane) Pleines of Deland, Fla., three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Danielle and April; and loving friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A celebration of her life will be held for her in Minnesota this summer. Friends and family, please put a flamingo in your yard or house to honor her memory. She will see the flock of flamingos from heaven and know we all love and miss her very much.
