‘Ask A Lawyer’ Day at Spirit River
Saturday, March 30: ‘Ask A Lawyer’ day will be held at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE, Isanti, from 9 a.m. to noon. Approximately 15 area lawyers will be in attendance as well as a Tax Payer Assistance Support representative from the IRS. Anyone who desires legal advice on any legal topic is welcome to attend this free event sponsored by the Tenth Judicial District Equal Justice Committee.
Free Easter celebration at Harvest Church
Saturday, March 30: Harvest Kids Preschool is sponsoring a free fun filled Easter celebration featuring the newest Veggie Tales movie with free popcorn and an indoor Easter egg hunt. All are welcome to join from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Harvest Church, located on the NE corner of Co. Rd. 5 and Hwy. 65 in Isanti. The coffee bar will be open for people to purchase a specialty drink. Common Ground Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 30: All kids in Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Common Ground, 404 N. Cypress, Cambridge. There will be games, crafts and treats, in addition to the Egg Hunt. All activities are free and will be held indoors.
‘Backyard Fruit Growing Basics’ class offered
Saturday, March 30: A free class, ‘Backyard Fruit Growing Basics,’ will be offered at the Green Barn Garden Center, 26501 Hwy. 65 NE, Isanti, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Discover the options for fruit plants that you can grow in Minnesota and basic things to know about each fruit discussed before getting started. Wednesday, April 3: Spirit River Kid’s Klub (Grades 1-3) & 456 Fellowship (Grades 4-6) will meet at Spirit River Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Meals will be provided to all families, and a nursery will be available. Spirit River is at 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). A Lenten Service will be held at 7:15 p.m.

Saturday, April 6: Garage Guys will meet at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti at 8 a.m. The time will start with devotions and coffee and then move on to the project(s) at hand. This is open to all—males and females.
Jason Gray Concert to benefit Our Response
Saturday, April 6: Christian artist Jason Gray will perform in concert at 6:30 p.m. at the Hardy Performing Arts Center at Cambridge-Isanti High School. The concert will benefit the Our Response organization, and the team members heading to Kivuruga, Rwanda this summer. Tickets range from $15 to $25 and can be purchased online at showtix4u.com or through any of the trip team members. Sunday, April 7: Mamacita’s Parenting Strategy Class, facilitated Elva Bustios Huss, will be offered at 5:30 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). Are you a single parent, a couple, grandparents, foster parents, male, or female? Are you a new parent or are you just having a new child in your home or maybe your kids are just driving you crazy? All are welcome. A nursery will be provided. Also, at 5:30 p.m., youth group will be held.
Bethel Chorale to perform at North Isanti Baptist
Sunday, April 7: Bethel University Women’s Chorale will perform at North Isanti Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. Nancy Parker, Ph.D. is the director of this ensemble of 41 women that perform the finest traditional and contemporary works written for treble voices. The event is free and open to the public with a free will offering taken.
Together in Recovery
Sunday, April 7: The Christian-based recovery group, Together in Recovery, will meet from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). Use the entrance on the north side of the building to maintain confidentiality (look for the sign). All are welcome.
‘What’s New in Trees’ presentation
Monday, April 8: Debbie Lonnee of Bailey Nurseries will be speak on ‘What’s New in Trees and Shrubs’ at Four Seasons Garden Club’s Open House at 7 p.m. at the Isanti County Government Center in Cambridge. Free admission and everyone is welcome.
Taste of Isanti County
Thursday, April 11: Come and enjoy food, art and music at the Taste of Isanti County/Rotary Club of Cambridge-Isanti annual fundraiser. The event will be held at Spectacular Events Banquet Center in Isanti from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door.
