Cindy Johnson obit photoCindy Johnson, age 49, of Isanti died at her home on March 20, 2013 after a short courageous battle with cancer.

Cynthia Mae Johnson was born in Princeton on July 8, 1963 to Gordon and Diane (Hendricks) LaRowe. She was raised in Isanti and graduated from Cambridge High School, Class of 1981. Cindy then attended Bethel College and graduated summa cum laude in 1985. In December of 1984 she married Gary Johnson. They made their home in Isanti where they had two daughters, Alexandra and Elizabeth. Cindy worked at Heins Mills & Olson, P.L.C. Law Firm in Minneapolis for the past 15 years. She was recently engaged to her fiancé Mark Muenchow. Cindy especially enjoyed traveling with her daughters. She enjoyed downhill skiing, decorating, remodeling, having a “spa day,” and spending time with her family. Cindy was a classy, beautiful woman. She always had a welcoming smile, was a social butterfly, she always saw the good in people and she was able to converse with everyone and make them feel comfortable. Cindy will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon LaRowe, who died on March 30, 2000. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Alexandra Johnson and fiance’ Joshua Olson of Eden Prairie, Elizabeth Johnson of Minneapolis; fiance’, Mark Muenchow of Lakeville; mother, Diane LaRowe of Cambridge; brother, Scott (Kristi) LaRowe of Isanti; 3 sisters, Virginia (Randy) Westerberg of Cambridge, Elizabeth (Joe) Estepp of Ham Lake, Grace Mattson of Isanti; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Elim Baptist Church in Isanti with Rev. Bob Stockland and Rev. Randy Westerberg officiating. Vocalists were Cubby Westerberg, Michael and Ryan Muenchow. Leisha Cooper served as pianist. The pallbearers were Levi LaRowe, James Mattson, Marc McDonald, Donny Neisen, Josh Olson and Silas Thompson. Interment was in Isanti Union Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel.
