Community invited to ‘The Way of the Cross Leads Home’

Cambridge Lutheran Church is presenting a special music presentation as part of its Good Friday evening service.

The Way of the Cross Leads Home: The Story in Song is a collection of well-loved hymns such as “What Wondrous Love Is This” as well as original pieces by Mary McDonald including the title piece, which opens and closes the cantata.

Performed by the Cambridge Lutheran Church Sanctuary Choir, under the direction of Aaron Knudsvig, The Way of the Cross Leads Home will be the centerpiece of the Good Friday service. The service will end with a reading of “The Seven Last Words.” The choir will also be joined and accompanied by several instrumentalists from Cambridge Lutheran Church.

This unique and thoughtful musical experience is sure to bring the elements and significance of Holy Week to each member in attendance and remind us all of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, what that sacrifice has made possible for each of us, as the promise of Easter is fulfilled on the following Sunday morning.

Join them at 7 p.m. on Good Friday, March 29, for ‘The Way of the Cross Leads Home’ at Cambridge Lutheran Church.
