St. Elizabeth Lenten Fish Fries
Friday, March 15: Lenten Fish Fries will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 207 Co. Rd. 23 NW, Isanti, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. All You Care to Eat fish, potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw, dessert and coffee/milk will be served. Cost is $9.50 per adult, $5 ages 6-12 and under 5 are free. Last Fish Fry March 22.
St. Peter & Paul Lenten Fish Fries
Friday, March 15: All You Can Eat Lenten Fish Fries will be held at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1050 Southview Ave., Braham. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Last Fish Fry March 22.
Garage Guys at Spirit River
Saturday, March 16: Garage Guys will meet at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events), at 8 a.m. The time will start with devotions and coffee and then move on to the project(s) at hand. This is open to males and females.
Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution
Saturday, March 16: Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution will be held at Elim Baptist Church, 114 Dahlin Ave., Isanti, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. $15 donation requested.
Mamacita’s Parent Group
Sunday, March 17: Mamacita’s Parenting Strategy Class, facilitated Elva Bustios Huss, will be offered at 5:30 p.m. at Spirit River Community Center, 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). Are you a single parent, a couple, grandparents, foster parents, male, or female? Are you a new parent or are you just having a new child in your home or maybe your kids are just driving you crazy? All are welcome. A nursery will be provided. Also, at 5:30 p.m., youth group will be held.
Breakfast to benefit Law Enforcement Explorers
Sunday, March 17: Isanti County Area Law Enforcement Explorers are hosting a Pancake Breakfast at the Isanti Community Center from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $5 for the All You Can Eat Breakfast. Isanti Explorers are youth from local high schools that have a future interest in law enforcement as a career and the money will provide an opportunity for more in depth training, travel for competitions with other explorer posts throughout the state and uniforms.

Wednesday, March 20: Spirit River Kid’s Klub (Grades 1-3) & 456 Fellowship (Grades 4-6) will meet at Spirit River Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Meals will be provided to all families, and a nursery will be available. Spirit River is at 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (Spectacular Events). A Lenten Service will be held at 7:15 p.m.
Join for Identification Theft presentation
Wednesday, March 20: Identification Theft is the topic during the Wednesday morning Coffee Time at East Terrace Cooperative, 2155 6th Lane SE, Cambridge, (south of Wal-Mart and Menards). The public is invited to come to Coffee Time to hear the 15-minute informative talk by Sandie Ordahl that begins at 9:30 a.m.
Parkinson’s Support Group
Wednesday, March 20: Parkinson’s Support Group will hold its monthly meeting from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing, Commons Building, 1545 River Hills Parkway, Cambridge. Guest speaker will be Julie Keller who is the Community Coordinator for St. Croix Hospice. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, their families, friends, and caregivers are invited to attend.
Isanti County Boosters Club
Wednesday, March 20: The 7 County Isanti County Boosters Club will meet at SAC’s on Third, 332 3rd Ave. NW, Cambridge. Lunch is at 11:30 p.m. with the meeting at 12:30 p.m. All welcome. Also, sign up for the annual meeting April 11.
Free Community Dinner

Roger Erickson of WCCO Radio to be Guest Speaker
Saturday, March 23: Sons of Norway Rum Elva Lodge Cambridge presents Roger Erickson of WCCO Radio for an afternoon of entertainment from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church. The entire community is invited. There is no charge, but donations accepted. Coffee and bars will be served. This activity will replace the regular monthly lodge meeting normally held on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Humane Society Spring Bake & Craft Sale
Saturday, March 23: The Isanti County Humane Society will host a Spring Bake and Craft Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cambridge City Center (formerly Cambridge Mall). Proceeds go to the Isanti County Humane Society “Share the Care.”
