Scout & Morgan Books and City Center Café welcome Minnesota authors and musicians Erin Hart and Paddy O’Brien on Thursday, March 21, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Hart and O’Brien will be reading from their new books, “The Book of Killowen” and “The Road from Castlebarnagh” and performing traditional Irish music.

“The Book of Killowen,” Hart’s latest archaeological crime novel, is number four in the Nora Gavin/Cormac Maguire series and is set in the mysterious bogs of Ireland.

O’Brien’s, “The Road from Castlebarnagh,” is a memoir that covers his many adventures as an Irish traditional musician, composer and collector, and boy growing up more than half a century ago in the midlands of Ireland. O’Brien grew up in a small thatched house without running water or electricity, near the town of Daingean in County Offaly. com_Author

Hart and her husband, O’Brien, live in the Twin Cities. They make frequent visits to Ireland, going to music sessions, and carrying out essential research in bogs and cow pastures and castles and pubs.

Hart is a member of the Authors Guild, Mystery Writers of America, International Thriller Writers and Sisters in Crime.

This event is free and open to the public. Both books are available at Scout & Morgan Books. City Center Café will offer Irish drink specials during the event. For more information call 763-689-2474.
