Supplies donated to Cambridge Christian School
On Tuesday, Feb. 26, members of BJ Baas Builders of Cambridge delivered a large trailer full of donated educational products to Cambridge Christian School.
Items included science experiments, construction kits, books, and many other hands-on materials that energized both teachers and students alike.
“It was like Christmas,” said Scott Thune, CCS superintendent. “BJ Baas basically filled up one room and then some with items that teachers generally would love to have but rarely go out and purchase due to limited budgets.”
Students who helped with the unpacking of the materials had a hard time focusing sorting the items because of the temptation to try them out. “Awesome,” “Cool,” and “Hey, it’s my turn,” were common phrases as the stacks of materials were delivered to the individual classrooms. Students actually were staying after school to get a change to experiment with many of the materials. The greatest hit seemed to be a series of 3D marble mazes. Students lined up to try them out.
The donation was coordinated by BJ Baas Builders but the materials came from the MindWare company. MindWare is a creator, manufacturer, and distributor of Brainy Toys for people of all ages. The diverse product line includes games, puzzles, brainteasers, arts and crafts activities, mysteries, mazes and more.
MindWare’s goal is to place high quality toys that teach and entertain into the hands of children and adults. MindWare proudly distributes products to parents, homeschoolers and educators both in the U.S. and around the globe.
BJ Baas Builders is proud to be able to offer these high quality educational materials to schools such as Cambridge Christian School to assist teacher and staff to enhance their learning objectives for their students. BJ Baas Builders also delivered similar educational materials to St. Mary’s School in Pine City on the same day.
