Soldiers from 850th Horizontal Engineer Company depart Cambridge
One-hundred forty nine soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard 850th Horizontal Engineer Company based in Cambridge, Minn., left Wednesday morning, March 6, for training and travel to Ft. - Jim Johnson, of Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, provides the soldiers with beverages and lunches.
- The buses leave the Cambridge Armed Forces Reserve and Community Center escorted by members of local law enforcement and emergency responders.
- Family members wave goodbye to their loves ones.
- The soldiers will spend approximately two months in training at Ft. Bliss, Texas, in preparation for their one-year deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
