The Affinity Plus branch in Cambridge invites members of the public to a first ever event of its kind for Affinity Plus called Operation Kindness.
Operation Kindness will take place on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The first 200 people who choose to participate in Operation Kindness will each be given $10 to perform kind acts for other people in the community. For those who participate, it will be encouraged they post their kind acts on Affinity Plus’ Facebook page.
As its mission states, Affinity Plus is a cooperative that puts people first which includes promoting kind acts in communities across Minnesota.
Operation Kindness, sponsored by the Affinity Plus Cambridge branch, is designed to inspire people to perform kind acts for others in their community and fill their community with the cooperative spirit of people helping people.
“As an organization, Affinity Plus believes in the goodness of people and we feel Operation Kindness is a great way to engage our members and share this message with them,” said LeAnne Larson, Cambridge Branch Manager. “You never understand how big an impact a small act of kindness can have until you try and we want to inspire our members and people in the community to continue to perform acts of kindness on February 28 and beyond.”
The Affinity Plus Cambridge branch is located at 1820 2nd Ave. SE.
