Note on groomed trails at Springvale County Park

Cross Country Ski Trails have been groomed at Springvale County Park since the first snow fall this season. They are used by many people that enjoy the quality at which the 3.5 miles of trail are groomed.

Because groomed trails are easily damaged by walking and dogs the park staff has posted signs at the entrance to the park stating, “Please Respect Groomed Ski Trails – Hiking, Dogs, & Snowshoeing on Trail Edges Only.”

If you are a walker or have a leashed dog please stay off of the groomed ski trails. It is very costly to pay for re-grooming ski trails because a few park users are not staying to the side.  Another option may be to enjoy one of the five other county parks for hiking or skiing with a dog during the winter months.  These parks can be found at
