“Diary of a Worm, a Spider & a Fly” on stage at Hardy Center

PlayIt’s a Bugs Life: The world premiere musical stage production based on the popular children’s books by Doreen Cronin, “Diary of a Worm, a Spider and a Fly,” with music by Joan Cushing, will be presented at the Hardy Center in Cambridge on Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Tickets for a “Diary of a Worm, a Spider and a Fly,” are $14, $12 or $10.

“The production of Llama Llama was so successful last year,” said Dave Maurer, Cambridge-Isanti Community Education Director. “We are excited to have Stages return with this regional-premier musical.”

Incorporating story lines from multiple books, Stages Theatre Company’s production of “Diary of a Worm, a Spider and a Fly” promises to look at the world from a bug’s perspective.

While some dream of being able to stand on their own two feet, others dream about superhero powers—the production will make us all appreciate and respect these tiny creatures.

Using youth performing with professional adult actors who serve as mentors, Stages Theatre Company is an award-winning production company that has become one of the largest and most respected professional theatres for young audiences in the United States.
