Live out Loud Production Company announces its premier production of “Into The Woods.”
Open auditions will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. This opportunity offers a unique intergenerational experience for area youth and adults where a large theatre production is produced in an intimate setting. If you are age 14 to 100, and love musical theatre, come and audition.
For those who don’t wish to be on stage but would like to be a part of the production process, come on Feb. 22 for more information.
This is a theatre-training program that will culminate with four performances at Common Ground: A United Methodist Community (404 Cypress St. N., Cambridge), on June 20, 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 23, at 4 p.m.
Bi-monthly musical rehearsals will occur in March, April and May (Sunday afternoons from 1 to 5 p.m.). After memorizing the music this spring, all staging and performances will occur during an intensive two-week program, beginning on Monday, June 10. Monday thru Saturday rehearsals in June will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. and not interfere with scheduled Play Inc. rehearsals for high school students.
“We are really excited about doing this show,” said Stage Director Robyn Fixell. “Because the musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales, it’s a great story that has some very unexpected twists and turns. It is not your typical fairy-tale. Is what you’re wishing for, really what you want? That is the ultimate question!”
