CCS Boys reach 20-win mark

The Cambridge Christian boys hoops squad continued on its strong 2013 campaign with three wins in five nights.

The Warriors knocked off visiting Valley Christian 69-31 Feb. 7 with 10 players getting into the scoring column. Leading the way were Peter Maring (13), Andrew Heidelberger (11), Alex Lecceardone (8) and Syfah Doble (8).

The following night, CCS downed host Spectrum 77-62 after taking a 40-22 edge in the first half. Maring scored 21, with Jake Bergman adding 13 and Anders Boyum scoring 12.

The Warriors reached the 20-win mark on the season with a 65-31 victory at Faith Foreston Feb. 12. Maring was strong once again with 20 points, and Justin Roble had a good all-around game, adding 12 points.

• The Warrior girls improved to 14-3 on the season by defeating Faith Foreston 64-31 Feb. 12. Kristin Bergman poured in 34 points for CCS, with both Shelby and Seble Doble adding 6 points.
