In their lone action this past week, the Cambridge-Isanti boys hockey squad dropped a 2-0 game to Buffalo Feb. 12. The Bison scored solo goals in the first and third periods to take the road victory and lock in the 2013 Mississippi 8 championship.
The Bluejackets host Legacy Christian in the regular-season finale Feb. 14. They will then likely travel to St. Michael for the Section 7AA play-in game on Saturday night (7 p.m.). The winner of that match gets the trip north to face top-seed and 3rd-ranked Duluth East in the 7AA quarterfinals Tuesday, Feb. 19.

CIMPC girls hockey eliminated by Elks
The Cambridge-Isanti-Mora-Pine City girls hockey squad had its season come to an end when No. 3 seed Elk River pitched an 11-0 shutout in the Section 7AA quarterfinals Feb. 7. The Bluejackets closed with a 6-19 mark this winter.
The Elks reached the 7AA finals by getting past No. 3 Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 6-5 in overtime on Saturday. The Elks will face top-seed Forest Lake in the Feb. 14 championship at Fogerty Arena after the Rangers defeated Duluth 3-2 in the other semis.
