Young Brazilians in Cambridge excited to teach ministry dance
Children and young people (including young adults) who are interested in learning dance as a ministry tool, read on.
Three wonderful young Brazilians have joined the Cambridge community for three months, and they are working with YWAM/King’s Kids Minnesota to offer some ministry dance training for children and young people.
Igor and Camila Kawanishi, along with Alison Sadoyama, are King’s Kids leaders in Brazil. King’s Kids is the portion of the international Christian missions organization Youth With a Mission (or YWAM), that involves children, youth and families, helping them to know God better and then, via various outreach forms, helping make Him and His love known to the world.
In Brazil, King’s Kids often uses dance as an outreach venue, and Camila, Igor, and Alison are gifted and experienced in this area.
On some Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons this winter/spring, beginning Saturday, Feb. 9 and ending with an outreach on April 6, they, together with King’s Kids Minnesota, will be teaching some choreographed songs to young people ages 5-25. Worship and discipleship training will be a part of these times, as well.
This opportunity is open to any interested people in this age range (for children ages 5-7, a parent is required to attend). Sessions will be held at Lakeside Christian Church on Fanny Lake, three miles east of Cambridge.
