Spaghetti Dinner at Long Lake Lutheran

Friday, Feb. 8: A Spaghetti Dinner will be held at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti (Hwy. 47 and 277th Ave.) from 4 to 7 p.m. Adults: $5; Ages 6-12: $3 and Under 6: Free. Includes spaghetti, garlic bread, dessert and beverage for one low price.

Matthew 25 Food Distribution Ministry

Saturday, Feb. 9: Matthew 25 Food Distribution Ministry will be held at Isanti Middle School, 201 Centennial Drive. Food will be distributed beginning at 9:30 a.m. Every person, no matter the age, receives two free grocery bags of food.

PFLAG Meeting

Sunday, Feb. 10: The East Central MN Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will meet at 4:30 p.m. at Common Ground (Cambridge United Methodist Church) at 404 North Cypress in Cambridge. St. Stephen’s Sweetheart Dinner

Sunday, Feb. 10: St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church Youth Group invites the public to their Annual Sweetheart Dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Menu items include: prime rib, potatoes, soup/salad, vegetables, fruit, and a variety of drinks & desserts. Tickets are $25 per couple or $15 per individual. Proceeds go to support future projects and trips for the SST Youth Group. Volunteer Fair

Monday, Feb. 11: The 2013 Volunteer Fair will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at SAC’s on Third Senior Activity Center, 332 3rd Ave. NW, Cambridge. Come meet vendors and see who you can volunteer for in the community.

Join for Mill City Museum Tour

Wednesday, Feb. 13: Visit what was once the world’s biggest flour mill on the historic Minneapolis riverfront. Learn about the enriching days of industry in Minneapolis with this Cambridge Center For the Arts tour. Included in the itinerary is the Flour Tower show, Washburn ‘A’ Mill guided tour, self-guided exhibit visit, the film “Minneapolis in 19 Minutes Flat,” lunch courtesy of D’mico and Sons, as well as transportation to and from the museum. Master Gardener to Speak on ‘Wild Edibles’

Wednesday, Feb. 13: Isanti County Master Gardener Marisa Harder-Chapman will speak on “Tracking Down Wild Edibles” at 7 p.m. at the Isanti County Government Center in Cambridge. She has studied herbology (the therapeutic use of herbs or herbal products) and wildcrafting as part of her MA in Holistic Health Studies at St. Catherine University. Beginning Feb. 15: Lenten Fish Fries will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 207 Co. Rd. 23 NW, Isanti, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. All You Care to Eat fish, potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw, dessert and coffee/milk will be served. Cost is $9.50 per adult, $5 ages 6-12 and under 5 are free. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council #10238. Dates of the Fish Fries are Feb. 15, Feb. 22, March 1, March 8, March 15 and March 22.

Book Sale to Support Isanti Library Link Site

Feb. 15 & Feb. 16: Friends of the Isanti Area Library will hold a Used Book Sale to raise funds to support the East Central Regional Library Link Site in Isanti. The sale, consisting of books, DVDs and audios, will be held Friday, Feb. 15 from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SOS Classroom, 110 NW 2nd Ave., Isanti. Isanti County MN Deer Hunters Banquet

Saturday, Feb. 16: The Isanti County Chapter of the MN Deer Hunters Association will hold its 16th Annual Banquet at the Cambridge American Legion, 200 2nd Ave. SE. Activities begin with a 5 p.m. social hour/raffles, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7 p.m. Over 30 firearms will be given away. Regular banquet tickets cost $35 and includes 1 dinner ticket, 1 year membership to MDHA and entry into the door prize drawing which includes a gun. Support the Forkhorn Food Drive by bringing a canned or boxed food item and receive one ticket per item for a drawing of a Marlin .22 Rifle.
