Meyer will retire after 11 years of service, with his last day of work set for Jan. 31.

“It’s very sad for the city,” Wimmer said. “Pat has done a fantastic job… He’s done a lot for Isanti.”

Meyer started in 2002 when the city had a much smaller population. Since then, the city has added a water treatment plant, which Meyer has helped to oversee. He has also helped plan and manage snow plowing for the city.

“Trying to replace all the different skills that Pat has with one person is going to be incredibly difficult for our community,” Wimmer said.

Public meeting Jan. 28 to discuss addressing system

A public meeting will be held at Isanti City Hall at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 to discuss potential changes to the addressing system in Isanti.

Jan Peterson from the Isanti Area Chamber of Commerce presented information to council members during the meeting Jan. 15. She said businesses along Co. Rd. 5 that would be affected with address changes would have to spend between $1,000 to $2,000 to make the change.

The Jan. 28 informational meeting will explain possible addressing system changes.
