Events such as the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus Foundation annual Scholardazzle Scholarship Fundraiser offer attendees and recipients the opportunity to invest in the future of the community through education.
This year’s Scholardazzle Scholarship Fundraiser will be held Friday, Jan. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Spectacular Events Banquet Center in Isanti, 1320 Co. Rd 5 NE. Tickets are $55 per ticket, or $100 for a pair of tickets and include a gourmet dinner and live music.
“This is a chance for people in the community to combine a wonderful night out with a cause that, if they know it or not, hits close to home for all of us,” said Michael Wall, Director of Stewardship for Anoka-Ramsey Community College. “Scholarship recipients are investing in both their own futures and in the future of our community as workers and taxpayers.”
The event also includes raffles and silent and live auctions. Sample auction items include premium goods and services from local businesses such as Sears’ Craftsmen tool sets, a high-end bicycle from Outdoor Edge, Robert Briscoe pottery, an iPad Mini and more.
Last year alone, Anoka-Ramsey provided $50,000 in scholarships to 77 students on the Cambridge Campus. This year Scholardazzle organizers hope to gross $35,000 to support scholarships for Cambridge Campus students.
